Additives Do Not Eliminate Routine Pumping
Septic tanks naturally contain microorganisms involved in wastewater treatment. EPA guidance says septic systems do not need additives to function properly, and periodic pumping remains necessary.
Be Skeptical of “Never Pump Again” Claims
A product cannot make all incoming solids disappear. Tank maintenance should be based on the system, household use and actual accumulation—not a promise that an additive replaces pumping.
